Our Services
Florence Food Share is dedicated to helping alleviate hunger in West Lane County, Oregon. We believe that no one should be hungry.
Our primary work of alleviating hunger is to distribute food boxes to people who live in the area we serve, and in some cases, to people who are traveling through the Florence area. In addition to food boxes, which are available to qualifying households once per month, there are frequently food products available in the lobby of the Food Share building at 2190 Spruce Street in Florence. We usually have bread available in the lobby but frequently there are produce and dairy items available too. The products in the lobby are available to anyone in the community, with no qualifying necessary, and are subject to limits.
People are often surprised to find that they financially qualify for food box service from Florence Food Share. The income limits are set by the USDA and change from time to time. Households are eligible for emergency food box assistance if they participate in the Food Stamp Program, or receive TANF, SSI, LIEAP or State General Assistance; or if their self declared income level is at or below the following amount:

In addition to serving individuals and households, Florence Food Share assists other food programs in our area. Senior Meals and the Florence Free Lunch both receive bread and desserts to serve with the meals they offer; we also assist local mental health providers with food for their dining programs.
