How Do I Get Help?
Florence Food Share provides emergency food boxes to residents of portions of west Lane County, Oregon. To be eligible to receive emergency food from Florence Food Share you need to reside within the area that Food Share serves: that area includes most of the Mapleton School District, west to Florence, north to the Lane/Lincoln County line and south to Westlake/Dunes City. Please come to Food Share with a piece of ID that verifies your local address—a piece of mail you have received at your residence, a utility bill that lists the service address, or your Oregon Driver’s License or ID card, if it shows your residence address.
There are also financial eligibility requirements to receive food boxes from Florence Food Share. The financial eligibility limits are listed on the application.

The first time you visit Food Share you will be asked to fill out an application that requests information about you and your household. You can obtain services from Food Share for one year with that single application. Each household may receive emergency food boxes once per month; depending on our food supply, you may qualify for a second box if a situation arises. When you visit Florence Food Share to request a food box, you will meet with a volunteer to make choices about foods we have available; we would prefer that you not accept food that you and you family do not enjoy. Also, please feel free to request items that you know you need and will use—if we have the item, it will be put into your box.
We will fill your box request as quickly as possible, while you wait. Our volunteers will work to make your visit to Florence Food Share as easy as possible. If you have any questions about our services or where you can access other services, please just ask. If we don’t know the answers, we will work to find them out!
