All donations are considered confidential. Donors names and contact information are not shared with anyone, unless that donor specifically requests to be publically recognized. Our donor mailing list (for purposes of invitation to events, newsletters and other information pertinent to our food pantry) is never shared with anyone. The privacy of donors, prospective donors, website visitors, and members of the general public is important to Florence Food Share. To assure that all donors receive respect and trust, FFS adheres to the Donor Bill of Rights:
Each dollar you donate allows us to access and distribute approximately 35 pounds of food when we order that food from our supervising agency, Food for Lane County. Because we distribute close to 50,000 pounds of food every month, your cash donations are what sustain our ability to keep the pantry stocked with food to distribute to those in need. Also, there are costs associated with distributing the food, including lights, refrigeration, gardening expenses and staff time. All donations are tax deductible.
Florence Food Share distributes nearly 50,000 pounds of food EVERY month.
We are in need of:
CANNED SOUP (except tomato)
DICED (OR STEWED) TOMATOES
CANNED MEAT PRODUCTS
(stew, chili, etc.)
We accept donations Monday - Friday
8:30 am-1:30 pm, 2190 Spruce Street
Items we can't accept: Anything previously opened, partially used, unlabeled cans, rusty cans, homemade food, such as home canned items, medicine (including vitamins & aspirin), & alcoholic beverages. Thank you.
Donate Time: Volunteer!
Food Share needs on-call volunteers for when our regular volunteers go on vacation, or occasionally become ill. We also have an amazing garden that needs help during the spring, summer and fall. That's where YOU can help. Are you able to volunteer in 2.5 or 4.5 hour shifts occasionally throughout the month? Click the button below in order to send us your contact information, or come into the pantry and fill out a volunteer application. Thank you!
